Carla L. Hines is a proud native of Atlanta, Georgia. After receiving her bachelor's degree from Georgia State University, Carla worked for many years in exports, logistics, and customs for a global ocean freight company handling such VIP accounts as Nike, Gap, HP, and Toys r' Us. It was her work in the shipping industry that birthed the idea of pursuing a legal career in admiralty law.

After graduating with her Juris Masters from Emory University School of Law, Carla went on to pursue and earn her Juris Doctorate from Savannah Law School, a branch of Atlanta's John Marshall Law School. While in law school, she was a member of the Moot Court Honor Board, competing at the University of Georgia Moot Court Competition in Spring 2016. She also served on the executive board of several school organizations including the Environmental Law Society working closely with the Coastal Empire Habitat for Humanity, Street Law, which travelled to various inner city high schools and undergrad institutions encouraging students to pursue a career in law, and Phi Alpha Delta Law Fraternity International.

Carla's most fond accomplishment as a law student was being accepted into the London Summer Study Abroad program hosted by the Southern University Law Center where she studied International Criminal Law and Constitutional Law, focusing on the intersections of British law and the U.S. Constitution. Her knowledge and appreciation of global law expanded during her studies in Europe, which included visits to Lloyd's of London, the Royal Courts of Justice, and The International Court of Justice in the Hague, Netherlands.

Her tenure as a student of the London Summer Study Abroad program ignited a passion to engage in international philanthropic opportunities, which led to her work with Beyond the Game, a non-profit organization that is known for doing "purpose work" all over the continent of Africa. Through Beyond the Game, Carla has been able to make frequent trips to countries such as South Africa and Eswatini to be of service to people of many tribes and languages in the far-reaches of those nations through volunteerism and providing donations in the form of money, food, toiletries, and the like to the least, the lost, and the looked-over. Carla plans to expand her philanthropic endeavors through Attorneys for Africa, a non-profit organization that works in conjunction with Beyond the Game to provide legal assistance and counsel to African citizens for whom help with legal matters is not readily available.

As a self-proclaimed "wanderlust", Carla's work with and through Attorneys for Africa allows her to fuse her passions for philanthropic and legal work on an international scale. It is her hope to not only provide assistance to the citizens of Africa, but to also recruit a vast number of her legal colleagues into the Attorneys for Africa network so that they too can become a part of a movement that looks to bring about positive change on the African continent.

Wright is a dynamic and accomplished investment professional who has garnered extensive experience in strategy formulation and development within the investment sector. He has played pivotal roles in shaping and executing strategic initiatives that drive growth and optimize investment portfolios for reputable institutions. His ability to formulate and implement robust investment strategies, informed by a nuanced understanding of the regulatory environment, sets him apart in the competitive landscape of the investment sector.

With a Bachelor's degree in Law (LLB) as the foundation of his expertise, Wright has seamlessly integrated legal acumen with a deep understanding of international finance to drive strategic initiatives within the investment realm. Building on this foundation, he pursued a Master's in International Economic Law from the University of South Africa and it is this dual educational background that uniquely positions him to navigate the complex intersections of legal and economic landscapes.

He adeptly navigates the complexities of cross-border transactions, mergers and acquisitions, and regulatory landscapes, ensuring that investment strategies align seamlessly with legal requirements. Known for his innovative approach to problem-solving, Wright consistently identifies and capitalizes on emerging opportunities in the global market. His forward-thinking mindset and commitment to staying abreast of industry trends contribute to the resilience and adaptability of the investment strategies he formulates.

Janetta Burch is a dedicated legal professional, international advocate, and champion for social justice with a strong background in cross-border legal matters, human rights, and fair global governance. She holds a law degree from Savannah Law School, a branch of Atlanta's John Marshall Law School, where she served as President of the Black Law Students Association and Vice President of the Women's Law Organization, showcasing her early commitment to leadership and advocacy.

With prior studies in European Union law in London, Janetta has developed expertise in EU, UK, and Great Britain legal frameworks, particularly in competition law, trade regulations, and human rights protections. She has represented international clients under the U.S. Department of Labor's Division of Longshore and Harbor Workers' Compensation (DLHWC) Defense Base Act (DBA), advocating for refugees and displaced individuals from the Middle East in both Europe and the United States. This work has reinforced her passion for human rights, labor protections, and access to justice on a global scale.

As a Founding Member of Attorneys for Africa, Janetta is deeply committed to advancing fair governance, legal advocacy, and policy reform for vulnerable communities. She works to ensure that legal frameworks prioritize human rights, economic equity, and the protection of marginalized populations, particularly women and children.

Janetta is also a passionate advocate for the African girl child, focusing on issues such as education, gender equality, and menstrual health awareness. Through her partnership with Dr. Chanita Foster and BeyondTheGame (BTG), she is actively involved in providing legal support, resources, and advocacy for initiatives that uplift widows, orphans, and young girls across Africa. One of her key areas of focus is A Period Not a Punishment, an initiative aimed at ending period poverty and ensuring that young girls can attend school without barriers.

With a mission to bring global awareness to the struggles of disenfranchised communities in Africa, Janetta continues to use her legal expertise to drive meaningful reforms, promote equitable representation, and advocate for those who need it most. Whether through legal advocacy, policy development, or humanitarian efforts, she remains committed to creating a world where justice, equality, and human dignity are accessible to all.
